Advert analysis

Who is the target audience?
The target audience for my advert are women, mainly women in there 20’s and 30’s.
I think that this advert is for middle aged women who’re looking for love or who have a partner they want to impress.

Visual Codes
The layout of the advert is that there is a centre image of a man lifting a woman up into the air, they both have smiles on there faces and look like they’re partners. The two people are in front of a sunny blue sky and are standing on fresh cut green grass, giving the whole advert a kind of fresh look.

Colours such as green, blue and white are dominant within the advert, this gives the audience connotations of the product being very fresh and natural, as all of these colours can be associated with nature. The blue being the sky and the bright green being the grass, the white stands out the most as it is the colour of the woman’s dress in the image and also the colour of most of the text within the advert.

Typography is used in the advert; all but one piece of text is in capital letters, giving it that eye-catching and bold look, it also makes the text look neat and all together.
Although I don’t know what exact font is used for the text, I can tell you that one half of the text is in a long skinny font, whereas the other is in a bold and thick font, giving it a contrast.

Technical codes
The image on the advert is framed so it is central, like it’s the main part of the advert, despite there being text in front of it.
I think that High-key lighting is used in this advert, as you just wouldn’t get the same effects with low-key or natural light.
